Coverontrip DIGITAL INSURANCE has been awarded the GEMA 2019 Award for Innovation and Digitalization. This award was granted by a jury that represents the entire Spanish insurance sector and is composed of: a representative of INESE and another of IMAF, 4 Presidents of the Insurance Mediators’ Associations of each province, 4 Presidents of Mediation Associations and the winners of the 2018 Gem Award.

COVERONTRIP DIGITAL INSURANCE Mediadores de Seguros, SA, is a digital distributor specialized in offering a value proposition oriented to the lifestyle of its client par excellence that is the Millennial generation, in a completely digital way, with a highly personalized and innovative product design, which invites travellers to be members of a unique community, based on two simple but effective concepts: social collaboration and gamification.
Coverontrip in the vocation of giving a value proposition to this generation and considering its new consumption habits launches as its first product, an insurance solution for each traveller profile and each type of trips.
For the segments described above, products have been defined trying to fit an innovative protection for each trip. To this end, it collaborates with the best travel insurers to provide the best level of customer service and the safest 24-hour Travel Assistance anywhere in the world. In addition to this travel insurance proposal, another set of products associated with Millennials lifestyle have been incorporated, such as gadgets and drone insurance.

Coverontrip was born with a vocation for innovation and for this purpose it is looking for new value propositions for its customers. Within its proposition laboratory, it aims to put on the market collaborative solutions for this generation within the P2P scope, as well as offering products for the travellers around the world.
Thus, the client can obtain an insurance product to suit their needs, regardless of where they are, their habitual residence and where they want to travel, they can opt for new packages to travel with the greatest peace of mind and security.
It should be noted that Coverontrip has an international vocation in its DNA. Proof of this is that in less than 2 years it is already operational in 2 markets, one of them being as mature and competitive as the United Kingdom.
In its expansion plans, global growth has been defined, with the objective of developing its presence in at least one country per year, following this objective. Coverontrip will begin its journey in Latin America in 2019 and, if the evolution is as expected, it has planned at the end of 2019 to be present in another European country.
All this innovative, completely digital and International project is only possible thanks to the team of multidisciplinary professionals who carry it out. This team has extensive managerial experience in both the insurance, intermediation and digital business sectors, as well as professionals with a high knowledge of online business and social network management and finally with internal and external teams around technology that make the company’s innovation strategy possible.
Coverontrip CEO Rafael Senén García, and its General Director Asunción Carrasco Reija, accumulate more than 50 years of experience in the insurance sector and they have been in the executive management of multinationals for more than 2 decades. Joining them are younger professional profiles according to the needs of the project, including the figures of our Director of Marketing and Communication, David Martinez, as well as our CIO Raúl Garfía Miras. Finally, we must highlight the figure of our Country Manager in the United Kingdom, André Santos, a key player in the implementation and development of the activity in one of the main international markets.
Coverontrip believes in the perfect combination of knowledge, new technologies and marketing methods that this project needs.
Coverontrip is clear that this is one of the main keys to success of the project, which can proudly say that in its third year of life it will be operating in more than 3 markets and will have reached the break-even of the operation, milestone that will allow to fulfil our objectives and future plans.
