COVERONTRIP the first exclusively Spanish digital insurance distributor specializing in travel and leisure insurance launched on 4th April 2017. Since launching we have received the InsurtechNow 2017 Award – Global Summit for Insurance Innovation by Inese, the Insurtechs Showcase Winner 2017 Award by Insurance Revolution, and have been named a member of the Insurtech Unconference 2017. This success has helped place us on Finnovating’s Insurtech Map, who has opened a travel insurance category exclusively for COVERONTRIP.
In addition to our recent awards and recognition, in November 2017, Rafael Senén CEO of COVERONTRIP was invited as a speaker to the International Travel Insurance Conference (ITIC) in Barcelona.
During his speech at the ITIC, Senén spoke of innovation and the disruptive impulse generated by the new techplayers. “There are new players that are developing innovative proposals within the insurance industry. Insurtech Disruption is here and we all have to offer new solutions to our customers and generate greater cost efficiency “.
Continuing with this theme during his ITIC speech in Barcelona, the CEO of COVERONTRIP pointed out that “only 36% of executives in the insurance industry believe that start-up companies will generate important changes in how the insurance market looks in the next 4 years. So given that only 4 out of 10 executives believe this fact is probably the main problem facing the industry. “
